MEETING YOUR NEEDS

At Northland Meat all carcasses are chilled to 7 degrees centigrade over 15 hours, at which point our experienced butchers can process it into the cuts of meat required by you.

 

Our usual service includes breaking into quarters or de-boning a carcass into cartons for further commercial processing by yourselves or your customers. We aim to have a zero waste approach and are happy to try and accommodate your specific needs if you wish to retain or make use of any part of the carcass.

Example current rates for commercial killing and processing of animals for food service is:

  • $415 per beef animal + $2.00 per kg of hook weight to bone & slice + $2.50 per kg to process into smallgoods 

  • $145 per sheep / goat + $30 per carcass to bone & slice + $2.50 per kg to process into smallgoods

  • $195 per deer + $2.00 per kg of hook weight to bone & slice + $2.50 per kg to process into smallgoods

As our facility is MPI certified, you can commercially sell your meat product. Alternatively, if you chose, we can sell through Northland Prime, a collective of like-minded farmers and growers.
